Washington University Orthopedics has partnered with Lindenwood University to provide student-athletes with access to the highest level of orthopedic and sports medicine care available.

Washington University sports medicine physicians have a unique passion for both medicine and sports, so they understand the importance of balancing a student-athlete’s desire to play while also protecting their short-and long-term health for life after collegiate athletics.

Physicians are on-site during many Lindenwood games for the immediate triage of sports-related injuries in coordination with the Lindenwood athletic training staff. In addition, they perform training room visits several days per week for the evaluation and treatment of injured student-athletes, as well as preseason physical examinations to determine their readiness for participation.

Lindenwood student-athletes also benefit from the expertise of world-renowned consultants in all subspecialty areas of medicine. If a Lindenwood student-athlete is faced with an injury, the physicians will play a lead role in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing the condition as quickly, but more importantly, as safely as possible. If necessary, physicians are available for off-campus assessment, diagnostic testing and surgical care at a Washington University Orthopedics location.
